smash journal

My friend Rene told me about this video on stacyjulian's blog. It's a new product, and I would imagine the person who thought of this smash journal and pen/glue stick is going to make a lot of money. It's not really that complicated or revolutionary of a product, but it seems so novel in this video! And so fun.

Enjoy. It got my creative juices flowing today.

oh I love! I am also inspired. I read it doesn't come out for sale until like April...guess I'll have to be creative with a notebook a pen and a glue stick until then :) I am probably going to love this product. thanks for introducing me!

and I got your Ivar announcement and love it!!! so cute. and I feel connected to you too...I wish we could have a baby play date and drink hot tea and make smash journals together :) some day!

Actually, I have a couple of drawers that look just like these pix. I could just gather everything up and make a couple of these albums. Great idea!!

Hmm... Maybe I'm just too practical, pragmatic, prosaic... Boring?

But this video made me want to clean out my junk drawers and throw stuff {i.e., junk} away. Not smash it into a journal to keep for my kids and my kids' kids.

But that's just me. Sorry, Smash Journal - no legs or appeal for this chick.

Still, I also have no doubt this product will make money for those who aren't as linear and Type A as myself! Ha. :)

Thanks for posting.

They taught us to keep idea journals like this when i was in art school. I still keep one. They are primarily found object books. If i find something on the street or when i am out and about i glue it in the book. The idea of a pen and glue is absolutely brilliant though. I always just shove things into my bag and stick them in later.

I just came across your blog while searching for smash journals. I hadn't seen the video yet, cute! I went to SXSW this year and one of the conference attendees gifts was a mini journal from smash. It is so cute and fits in my purse. I use it for blog ideas. I am off to see what else they have to buy...
