ha!

Have you seen this before? I just googled pregnancy pillow, thinking I should maybe invest in a body pillow to support my belly while on my side and this image came up! Hysterical! Now, I know I'm not the most comfortable sleeping lately, and I know this lady looks real comfy, but this picture seems a bit extreme...and it left me with a few questions. Like, where does her husband sleep? And how excited is he about this body pillow? And where do you store this thing between pregnancies?!!

I was just looking for one of those super long pillows I had in college as a bed decoration. Wonder where that thing went...it would be perfect. Until then, I'll be completely fine with my other smaller pillows. I don't know, maybe these things are awesome...I just can't imagine Rory letting this thing come into bed with us...

I actually have one of these--it was given to me by a friend who was done having children--and I have to admit that I rarely, if ever, use it. Frankly, there is barely room in the king sized bed for my husband once I bring that pillow in!

I went to Target and bought a body pillow for about $10 and it works perfectly!

I never used one of those...I just slept on my couch eventually...pillows never were the answer for me.

I have a friend who used the regular body pillow sometimes found at Target or Bed Bath and Beyond. (Surprisingly difficult to find when looking for one!) Her husband called it her Boyfriend. (:

aha! I just called Bed, Bath and Beyond and they have the "normal" body pillows in stock!

Melinda,
If I were you I would regift that body pillow for the next baby show you are invited to. Can you imagine how funny it would be to show up with a gift that big?!! :)

I think I might have lent my particular Bed Bath and Beyond long body pillow to Annika during one of her pregnancies! It's dead now, but yes, that's definitely the way to go. 20 bucks! Or less.

This reminds me of the fact that I needed to sleep with two - yes TWO - body pillows for probably the last three months of my pregnancy. After all, a girl needs one for both sides, does she not?? MUCH easier than thrashing just the one pillow from side to side with me; LOL...

My poor husband was very gracious, even though there was barely enough room for him in our king-sized bed.

Thankfully, both those pillows are now stuffed in a closet somewhere...

Good luck with whatever your sleep solutions ends up being!

---and how did we manage to carry babies and sleep without any body pillows at all?!
