can you imagine?!!

Photobucket

Mom Groves just sent me an email filled with pictures of Holland in May. She said the pictures reminded her of the rainbow cake. Just look at this picture! Hello Life List...I must go here some day. I can't imagine seeing these tulips first hand.

Actually, I know that Washington grows a lot of Tulips too..and that might be more realistic than Holland and could easily be done as a trip to see my brother and his family. Hmmm...I think Rory is going to hear about this idea at lunch time.

Hey Becca! What a cool idea! Having seen the tulips in Washington - they are very beautiful, however, they don't have the full spectrum of the rainbow as it appears Holland does (only half). Still worth checking out the tulips in Washington, but just wouldn't want you to expect the full rainbow and be disappointed. Marie

My unsolicited $.02: You should try to get to Holland to see them. It's an amazing trip we made a few years ago. The reality will not disappoint the expectations built by this photo. (Plus then you can also visit Corrie Ten Boom's house - which was this history nerd's absolute FAVORITE part of that trip.)

I beg to differ with the above comment, having seen both Holland and Washington state tulips! We totally get the whole rainbow, and have the added bonus of a rainbow of cousins to visit. :) It's late March and April, hint hint...
